Supported browsers use WebGPU for local inference. When WebGPU is unavailable, the app can fall back to WebAssembly so the cleanup workflow remains browser-based.
How to remove unwanted objects from a photo
- Choose a photo. The image opens locally in your browser.
- Paint the unwanted area. Use the brush to cover the object, person, text, or distraction you want to remove.
- Run AI cleanup. Instant Cleanup repairs the selected region with the local LaMa model.
- Download the result. Save the cleaned image as a PNG or use it as the base for another edit.
What can you remove?
Use Instant Cleanup for small unwanted objects, background distractions, photobombers, signs, text, clutter, and other areas that can be reconstructed from the surrounding image. Results depend on the photo and mask, so smaller, well-defined selections often work best.
Why use a browser-based AI object remover?
Many online photo cleanup tools require uploading images before processing them. Instant Cleanup is designed for a different workflow: the model executes locally, which keeps the original photo on your device and avoids creating a server-side copy of your image. The AI model itself may be downloaded and cached by your browser when you choose a photo.
